29 Charles St, Midland

Integrated public art commission for Ionic Development, 2016
MATERIALS:
Laser cut and etched brushed aluminium fence panels and gates
PROJECT OVERVIEW:

I wanted to create a design that reflected the industrial history of Midland. The intersecting lines are made up of roads, bricks, and railways. This creates a striking pattern when viewed from a distance but at closer inspection you can see the etched design which relates to the historical sites of the Railway yards, Brick kilns and the Great Eastern Highway.
