PROJECT OVERVIEW:

I was an artist in resident for a week at Landsdale Primary school, were I worked with the students to develop props for a school musical called the “Little Muncher”. The musical promoted the idea of recycling and waste management. The little muncher was made out of discarded material. The main character, the little muncher machine, was built for the musical and decorated by students during workshops that I ran. The little muncher was a hybrid machine based on a vacuum cleaner, robot, street sweeper and rubbish truck. We also constructed other props, scenic elements and costumes for musical numbers, all made from thrown away items and materials.
